New wine list in the restaurant of Hotel-Hostal Sport

The wine list of the restaurant of Hotel-Hostal Sport is one of its main attractions. More than 230 references of wine that we improve every year. This 2014 one of innovations of the wine list is its classification by towns. Thus, in sections DO Montsant and DOQ Priorat (two appellations of origin of the Priorat region), the wines are sorted by municipality, giving prominence to the origin of each winery.

Wines of the DO Montsant and DOQ Priorat have a weight of 75% in the wine list, which is complemented by references to different Catalan DO, other Spanish wine regions and other regions of the world as two wines from Argentina.

It also includes a section of cava and champagne, sweet wines and spirits and a new section called "singular wines of limited editions" that now includes two references from the Priorat region: Part Bellvisos and Les Tallades of Cal Nicolau, Sara and i René Viticultors Orto Vins (Joan Asens), respectively.

In the first page of the wine list you can read a fragment of a poem by Joan Vinyoli that talks about wine. It's an invitation to reflection, moderation and life, unhurried:

The winery's restaurant of Sport keeps more than 230 wine references worldwide, with a wide range of appellations of origin in the region: DO Montsant and DOQ Priorat . The selection is the result of a long job, very careful and full of esteem for Priorat wines as well as for the dedication and hard work of the winegrowers. The wine list recognized the exceptional vintages with new discoveries of small and young winemakers. All are designed to leisurely enjoy a unique landscape.
