New wine by the glass at Hotel-Hostal Sport: NITA 2011

In the bar and restaurant of the Hotel-Hostal Sport we offer you a new wine by the glass of the Qualified Denomination of Origin Priorat: NITA 2011 of Meritxell Pallejà

Since 2004, the project of the winemaker Txell Pallejà relies on biodynamic production, using the lunar calendar to make their wines and to know the right time to consume.

• Varieties: 45% Grenache, 35% Carignan, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Syrah.

• Features: Lightweight Priorat pure. Aged in the tub and bottle in cellar until wine is balanced and round on the palate. 2011 was a vintage atypical to be more floral than fruity, similar to 2007. It presents fresh and clean on the nose. No Loss of red fruit notes and minerality but violet aromas.

• Why NITA name? From Meritxell Pallejà grandmother, who came from "Cal Nita", Falset. In marrying, she moved to Reus and died without returning to Priorat. Tobacconist in the Quartera square of Falset, Txell believes that she deserved this honor.
